The digital marketing industry is set to continue its explosive growth, with more than 7.5 million jobs projected to be created across all industries in 2018, according to a new report by digital marketing employment data provider digital marketing jobs.
The industry, which includes all of the types of digital marketing, also includes advertising, social media, content creation, marketing and advertising management, according the survey released on Wednesday by job listings firm Glassdoor.

The industry has been growing by 7% annually in the last three years, according Glassdoor, with an annual average of 3.3 million jobs added per year.
The jobs are expected to increase by more than 40% from January through March 2019.
The survey, which covers all sectors of the digital marketing workforce, also predicts that there will be more than 3 million digital marketing professionals working in 2019, up from 2.1 million in 2018.
